# How to cancel Telegram Premium

Cancelling in the App Store, Google Play and @PremiumBot, and refunds.

You cancel Telegram Premium where you bought it: an App Store subscription in your iPhone's settings, a Google Play one in the Google Play app, and an @PremiumBot one in the bot itself. After you cancel, Premium keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged. If Premium was a gift, or you bought it for a set term — on Fragment or in the Shiba Bank bot — there is nothing to cancel: it simply ends on its date.

## How to cancel Premium on iPhone

1. Open the iPhone's Settings and tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions.
3. Choose Telegram Premium and tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down to find the button.

If Telegram Premium isn't on the list, it may not have come from the App Store: it could be from @PremiumBot, a gift or a purchase for a set term.

## How to cancel Premium on Android

1. Open Google Play and tap your profile picture at the top right.
2. Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Choose Telegram and tap Cancel subscription.

## How to unsubscribe in @PremiumBot

Open @PremiumBot in Telegram and send the `/stop` command. This bot works in the versions of Telegram downloaded from telegram.org — for Android, desktop and macOS.

## Gifted Premium and one-off purchases

Premium received as a gift, through a gift code or as a channel giveaway prize, as well as Premium bought on Fragment or in the Shiba Bank bot, is paid for in advance for a set term. There is no recurring payment to stop: Premium simply ends when the term is over.

## What happens when Premium ends

After you cancel, every Premium feature keeps working until the end of the current billing period. Then the features switch off, while your chats, files and channels stay where they are. According to Telegram's FAQ:

- your channels and the chats in your folders stay as they are;
- the first 10 folders keep working, any others are locked;
- the first 70 characters of your bio stay visible, the rest is hidden until you subscribe again;
- your first 5 pinned chats stay pinned, the others are unpinned;
- saved GIFs past 200 are hidden;
- usernames you have already created stay yours;
- files download at the standard speed, and the Premium badge disappears.

## How to renew Telegram Premium

A subscription from the App Store, Google Play or @PremiumBot renews by itself until you cancel it. Premium from a gift, from Fragment or from the bot does not renew: when the term is over, get a new one. ## Telegram Premium refunds

- **Telegram.** Telegram Premium's terms say that, generally, all charges for purchases are nonrefundable, and cancelling early gives no partial refund: the subscription stays valid until the end of the paid term.
- **App Store.** You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com: "I'd like to" → "Request a refund", then choose the reason and the purchase. Apple decides, and eligibility varies by country or region.
- **Google Play.** Google says past subscription periods can't be refunded, except as described in Google Play's refund policies.
