Telegram NFT gifts are traded in several places. The simplest is Telegram's own marketplace inside the app: the gift is sold for Stars or GRAM, and Telegram runs the deal. Beyond it there are Fragment, TON NFT marketplaces such as Getgems, and third-party marketplaces inside Telegram — MRKT, Portals and Tonnel. Each has its own currencies and its own rules for where the gift is kept.

The Shiba Bank bot does not trade NFT gifts: it sells the Stars you pay for them with, and it buys Stars back for USDT.

## The marketplaces at a glance

| Marketplace | Where it lives | What you pay with | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Telegram's marketplace | Inside the Telegram app | Stars or GRAM, set by the seller | The gift stays in Telegram |
| Fragment | fragment.com, Gifts section | GRAM, a TON wallet is needed | Gifts moved to the TON blockchain |
| Getgems | getgems.io | GRAM | Gifts as NFTs in your wallet or tied to a Getgems profile |
| MRKT | The @mrkt bot | GRAM (formerly TON) and Stars | Third-party service |
| Portals | The @portals bot | Check in the service | Third-party; gifts are deposited through @GiftsToPortals |
| Tonnel | The @Tonnel_Network_bot bot | GRAM (formerly TON) | Third-party service |

Fees are left out on purpose: each marketplace sets and changes its own, so read them on the sale page before you confirm. GRAM is the former Toncoin — see [what GRAM is](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/gram).

## Telegram's marketplace

This is the official route: the gift never leaves Telegram.

- **Selling.** Open the gift on your profile, tap "Sell" and set a price — see [how to sell an NFT gift](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/sell-nft-gift).
- **Buying.** Gifts for sale are in Telegram's gift shop, with filters for model, backdrop and symbol — see [how to buy an NFT gift](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/buy-nft-gift).
- **An offer to the owner.** If a gift isn't for sale, you can offer a price in Stars or GRAM. The payment is reserved while the offer runs and refunded at once if it is declined or expires.
- **The fee.** Telegram keeps a share of the sale price, so the seller receives slightly less than the buyer pays.

## Fragment

Fragment is a platform on the TON blockchain where Telegram collectibles are sold. Its Gifts section lists collections with prices and sales history. To trade you connect a TON wallet and your Telegram account, and what is traded are gifts moved to the blockchain. The currency is GRAM; a wallet such as [Tonkeeper](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/tonkeeper) works.

To move a gift: My Profile → Gifts → the gift → Transfer → Send via Blockchain. You need a TON wallet and your two-step verification password, and the option may open only from a date Telegram sets. See [how to transfer a gift](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/transfer-telegram-gift) and [what Fragment is](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/fragment).

## Getgems

Getgems is an NFT marketplace on the TON network. It handles Telegram gifts in two forms:

- **On-chain.** A full NFT stored in your TON wallet; you can send it to any wallet.
- **Off-chain.** The gift stays on Telegram's servers and is tied to your Getgems profile. It is not a full NFT and isn't in your wallet. To bring it back to Telegram you use the @gemsrelayer bot: per Getgems, the gift must not be listed for sale, and the withdrawal costs a fee in GRAM.

## MRKT, Portals and Tonnel

These are third-party marketplaces, not made by Telegram, and all three run as bots and mini apps inside Telegram.

- **MRKT** describes itself as a peer-to-peer marketplace inside Telegram. The bot is @mrkt; you can pay in GRAM or Stars.
- **Portals** calls itself a gifts marketplace. Its official channel is @portals, and gifts are deposited through a separate bot, @GiftsToPortals.
- **Tonnel** is a gifts marketplace; its channel points to the @Tonnel_Network_bot bot and prices in GRAM (formerly TON).

Check their fees, how gifts are withdrawn and what happens to a gift while it sits on the platform in the services themselves: there is no single official description, and we don't invent one. While a gift is deposited with such a service, you depend on that service and not only on Telegram.

## How to avoid fakes

Scammers copy the names and avatars of popular marketplaces, and one service can have several similar-looking addresses.

1. **Take the link from the service's official channel**, not from a search result or a chat. Check the @username letter by letter.
2. **Never give anyone your login code or password.** Telegram's FAQ says login codes must never be shared, and Telegram never asks for your password.
3. **Never type a wallet's recovery phrase** into a website or a bot.
4. **Read what you sign.** Connecting a wallet and confirming a transaction is permission to send a transfer.
5. **Don't hand over a gift "for valuation" or "through an escrow".**

## What a gift costs

The seller sets the price, and buyers compare offers within the collection and by how rare the attributes are — see [how much an NFT gift costs](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/nft-gift-price) and the [NFT gift catalog](https://shiba-bank.com/en/gifts/nft).

Stars for Telegram's marketplace can be bought in the bot by @username, with no login to your account.

And the Stars you get for a sold gift, the bot buys for USDT.
