There are four ways to turn Telegram Stars into money, and which one is yours depends on where the Stars are: on your personal account, on a channel's or a bot's balance, or in a bot's wallet.

## A bot that buys Stars

A bot buys the Stars itself: you pay its invoice in Stars and it sends you money. In the Shiba Bank bot:

- the rate and the exact amount are shown **before** you confirm, and you get exactly that amount;
- the payout is USDT on TON — to your wallet, @CryptoBot or @xRocket — with a link to the transfer;
- you can sell Stars from your Telegram account or from the wallet in the bot; the wallet's rate is higher.

Today's rate and a calculator are on the [sell page](https://shiba-bank.com/en/sell); step by step — [how to sell Telegram Stars](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/sell-telegram-stars).

## Fragment: for channel and bot Stars

Stars a channel or a bot earned — and Stars you got for paid messages — are withdrawn through Fragment and paid out in TON (GRAM): from 1,000 Stars, each Star 21 days after it arrived. Stars bought or received as gifts on a personal account can't go through Fragment. More — [withdraw Stars from a channel](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/withdraw-stars-from-channel).

## Marketplaces

On marketplaces Stars are sold to other people: the buyer pays the platform and you hand the Stars over, usually as a gift the buyer converts. The platform takes a fee, the money arrives after the buyer confirms, and disputes go to its support. Expect a lower net amount than the price on the listing.

## Private buyers in chats

The riskiest way. Common schemes:

- they ask you to send the Stars or a gift first, then disappear;
- they send a fake payment receipt or a screenshot of a transfer that never happened;
- they ask for your Telegram login code or cloud password "to check".

> **Important:** Never share your login code, cloud password or wallet seed phrase. Selling Stars never needs them — [scams in Telegram](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/telegram-scams).

## What to check before selling

1. The rate and the final amount are named before you send anything.
2. You know when and where the money arrives, and you can check it.
3. Nobody asks for codes, passwords or access to your account.
4. You can back out before paying and lose nothing.

## Getting local money

The bot pays in USDT. To get your own currency, sell the USDT on a P2P market, where buyers pay by bank transfer or local wallets — bKash, Nagad, UPI, PIX and others: [Telegram Stars to cash](https://shiba-bank.com/en/guides/stars-to-cash).
