How to buy Telegram Stars
How to buy Telegram Stars with the Shiba Bank bot: for your own account, for a friend by @username or to your wallet in the bot. Pay with crypto or a card; Stars arrive automatically.
Telegram Stars are Telegram's own in-app currency. They pay for gifts, reactions, paid posts and digital goods in bots. You can buy them right inside Telegram with the @barboskich_stars_bot bot: it places the order, and the Stars arrive on your account through Fragment, Telegram's own platform.
What you need
- A Telegram account with a public username (@username). Stars are credited to it. If you have none, set one in Telegram's settings — or buy Stars to your wallet in the bot, which needs no username.
- A way to pay: crypto (USDT and GRAM on TON, and more), or a card of a Russian or Belarusian bank.
How to buy: step by step
- Open the Shiba Bank bot or app in Telegram and tap "Buy Stars".
- Choose how many — with a button or your own number, from 50 Stars per order.
- Choose for whom: yourself or as a gift — then type your friend's @username.
- Choose where they go: to the Telegram account or to the wallet inside the bot.
- Choose how to pay. The bot shows the exact amount before you pay, with the fee of that method included.
- Pay. The bot checks the payment itself and sends the Stars.
What it costs
The price depends on the amount and the way you pay, and it follows the exchange rate. Current prices for packages from 50 to 5,000 Stars are on the Telegram Stars prices page. The bot's button shows a "from" price; you see the exact amount once you pick a way to pay.
When the Stars arrive
Usually within a few minutes of payment, and within 30 minutes. The bot shows every step of the order and messages you when the Stars are credited. If Fragment is briefly unavailable, the bot tells you about the delay and completes the order as soon as it is back. Credited Stars show in Settings → My Stars — where to see your Stars balance.
Do not pay a second time if the Stars are late: that creates a second order. A paid order is never lost — if something goes wrong, contact support.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy Stars without a username?
Crediting a Telegram account needs the recipient's public @username: Fragment credits Stars to it. Set a username in Telegram's settings, or buy Stars to the wallet in the bot, which needs none.
Can I buy Stars for a friend?
Yes. Choose "as a gift" and type your friend's @username. If your friend charges for incoming messages, Telegram will not let you gift less than that price — the bot checks this before you pay and names the minimum.
Which ways to pay can I use?
It depends on the bot's language and currency: rouble methods (SBP, cards) are shown to Russian readers and to those counting in roubles; with the Belarusian rouble, a Belarusian bank card and ERIP; everyone else pays with crypto. More in the guide on ways to pay by country.
Why can't I buy Stars inside Telegram?

What if my Stars have not arrived?
Check the order in the bot. If it is paid and the Stars are more than half an hour late, read what to do if Stars have not arrived and contact support — a paid order is either completed or refunded.
