Notcoin (ticker NOT) is a token on the TON network that began as a game inside Telegram. Players tapped a gold coin on the screen, completed tasks and collected rewards, and later received real NOT tokens for them. The token launched in May 2024 and trades on crypto exchanges and in wallets. The NOT rate is shown by the exchange or wallet you use; below is what the token is, where it can be bought and sold, and how to avoid scams around it.
What Notcoin is
- A game. Notcoin started as a simple Telegram game: you tap a coin and collect points, and tasks give extra rewards. When the tapping stage ended, players received NOT tokens.
- A token. NOT lives on the TON network (The Open Network). The network's own coin is now called GRAM; see GRAM, formerly TON.
- Supply. About 102.7 billion NOT tokens were issued in total.
- Players. The figure usually quoted is about 35 million players, though it may include bots.
Where Notcoin trades
On 16 May 2024 the exchanges Binance, OKX and Bybit opened trading in NOT. The Buy page of the official Notcoin website lists these places:
- the banking service Revolut;
- a Telegram wallet, called Wallet on that page; the service is now named Walt (more here);
- the exchanges Binance, OKX, Bybit and Kraken;
- decentralised exchanges on TON: StonFi and DeDust.
How to buy or sell Notcoin
- Pick a place from the list above: an exchange, a wallet or a decentralised exchange.
- Check that the service is available in your country and what it asks of users. Many exchanges and wallets require identity verification. Each service sets its own rules and shows them itself.
- You can buy NOT with another coin or with money, if the service supports it. You sell it in the same place: swap it for USDT, GRAM or another coin.
- If you withdraw NOT to your own wallet, make sure the wallet works with the TON network first.

- Official links. The project's site is notcoin.org, and its official channels are collected on the socials page: the channel t.me/notcoin and the bot t.me/notcoin_bot. Check any other "Notcoin" with a similar name against that list.
- Fake airdrops. The main distribution of tokens to players took place in May 2024. A message saying "claim your NOT at this link" from strangers is a reason to be careful.
- Recovery phrase. No support agent, bot or "project admin" asks for a wallet's recovery phrase. Whoever knows the phrase can move all the coins. More in what a seed phrase is and why you must never share it.
Before you confirm anything in a wallet, read what you are signing: the amount, the address and the coin. A confirmed transaction cannot be recalled.
