Gifts on your Telegram profile: how to hide, remove and pin them
Where gifts show on your Telegram profile and who sees them, how to hide a gift and show it again, whether a gift can be deleted, how to pin gifts and how to choose which gifts you accept.
Gifts people send you on Telegram collect in the Gifts tab of your profile. Each gift can be shown to everyone or hidden, and a unique gift can also be pinned to the top. There is no Delete button for a gift, but there are ways to take one off your profile — all of them are below.
Where to find gifts
- Your own — open My Profile and switch to the Gifts tab. Both displayed and hidden gifts are there; the Hidden filter leaves only the hidden ones.
- Someone else's — open their profile and its Gifts tab. You'll see only the gifts they chose to display.
Who can see your gifts
- A displayed gift is visible to anyone who opens your profile.
- A hidden gift is visible only to you: others don't see it in the list or in your gift count.
- The sender's name. If the sender chose Hide My Name, only you see their name and message. Everyone else sees the gift without them.
You can't hide a gift from one particular person: a gift is either visible to everyone who opens your profile or hidden. The exceptions in the gift settings are about who sends gifts, not who looks at your profile.
How to hide gifts on Telegram
- Open My Profile → the Gifts tab.
- Press and hold the gift; on a computer, right-click it.
- Choose Hide.
You can also do it from the gift's card: open the gift — the card says whether it is visible on your profile and lets you hide it. A hidden gift doesn't disappear: it stays in your Gifts tab.

How to show a hidden gift again
Press and hold the gift in the Gifts tab (right-click on a computer) and choose Show. Or open the gift and choose to display it on your profile.
Can you delete a gift?
A gift has no Delete button. It leaves your profile for good in only two cases:
- A regular gift is converted into Stars. This is possible only within 7 days of receiving it — in the gift's card, with the "sell for … Stars" button next to Value. The gift disappears, and you get fewer Stars than it cost. More in how to convert a gift into Stars.

In every other case a gift can only be hidden: then nobody but you sees it.
Converting into Stars can't be undone: the gift is gone for good.
How to pin gifts on your profile
- Open My Profile → the Gifts tab.
- Press and hold a unique gift (right-click on a computer).
- Choose Pin.
Pinned gifts always come first in the Gifts tab and are shown on your profile cover. You can pin up to 6 gifts; when all spots are taken, Telegram asks which one to unpin. To unpin a gift, use the same menu and choose Unpin.

Gift settings: who can send you gifts and what shows up
Open Settings → Privacy and Security → Gifts. There are three settings:
- Show Gift Icon in Chats — a gift button in the message field, for you and the people you chat with.
- Who can display gifts on my profile — whose gifts appear on your profile on their own: everybody's, only your contacts' or nobody's; you can add exceptions for particular people. Gifts that don't appear on their own arrive hidden, and you can show them yourself.
- Accepted Gift Types — which gifts people can send you at all: unlimited, limited-edition and unique gifts, Telegram Premium subscriptions and gifts from channels. Only Telegram Premium users can change this list. If you turn everything off, nobody will be able to send you a gift.

Gifts in channels
People can send gifts to channels too, if the channel accepts them. They collect in the channel's Gifts tab, and the channel's admins manage them: show or hide them, pin them, and a regular gift can be converted into Stars, which go to the channel's balance. If the sender hid their name, only the channel's admins see it, and visitors see only the gifts the channel displays.

Can I hide gifts on Telegram?
Yes, any gift: press and hold it in the Gifts tab and choose Hide. A hidden gift stays with you, but only you can see it.
Can other people see my gifts?
Displayed ones — yes, anyone who opens your profile. Hidden ones are seen by nobody but you.
Can I see someone else's hidden gifts?
No. Telegram shows hidden gifts only to their owner.
How do I remove a gift from my profile for good?
A regular gift disappears if you convert it into Stars within 7 days of receiving it; a unique one, if you transfer or sell it. After 7 days a regular gift can only be hidden.
How many gifts can I pin?
Up to 6. Only unique gifts can be pinned; with six already pinned, you have to unpin one to pin another.
How do I stop people from sending me gifts?
With Telegram Premium: in Accepted Gift Types in the gift settings, turn off the kinds you don't want, or all of them. Without Premium you can't refuse gifts, but you can keep them off your profile.
