The Telegram bear gift: every bear and when the next one comes
What the Telegram bear gift is, which bears exist, what the armed bear of August 2026 was, whether there was a bear for 1 September, how to send one and when a new bear may appear.
The Telegram bear is a regular gift from Telegram's gift shop: you buy it with Stars and send it to a person or a channel. Besides the everyday bear, Telegram now and then puts out holiday versions that stay in the shop for a day or a few days. Telegram never says in advance when the next one will come.
What the bear is
- A regular gift. Its supply is unlimited: anyone with enough Stars on their balance can buy it. Telegram Premium is not needed.
- The price in Stars is set by Telegram's shop and can change, so the current one is on the bear's page.
- It cannot be upgraded to an NFT. The bear, the heart, the rose and the other regular gifts do not turn into unique gifts: only limited gifts can be upgraded.
- What the recipient can do. Show the bear on their profile, hide it, or convert it into Stars within 7 days of receiving it — they get fewer Stars than the gift cost. A bear cannot be passed on to someone else. More in how to convert a gift into Stars and gifts on your profile.
Which bears exist
| Bear | What it is |
|---|---|
| The everyday bear | The plush bear from the regular gift shop. |
| Holiday bears | Versions made for holidays and events: also regular gifts, but sold only for a short time. When a bear leaves the shop, the people who got one keep it on their profile. |
| Toy Bear | Not a shop bear but a separate collection of unique gifts. |
Telegram does not publish one list of all bears, so an exact count can't be given.
The holiday bears of 2026
According to media reports, in 2026 holiday bears came out for 8 March, for 1 April and for Easter. They are regular gifts, but they were on sale only briefly — some for about a day. Telegram publishes no official list.
The armed bear. On 12 August 2026 a bear appeared in the shop in green clothes, with a red band on its head and a weapon on its back. In search it is called the "military bear". It came out as a temporary gift with no limit on supply, and by the end of August it was no longer in the shop. If you managed to get one, it stays on your profile.
Whether any holiday bear is on sale right now shows on the Telegram gifts page, which updates together with the shop.
Don't mix it up with Toy Bear
Toy Bear is a collection of unique gifts: each one has its own number, model, backdrop and symbol. A ready-made gift from it can be bought from its owner — for example on Telegram's marketplace; the regular gift shop doesn't sell them. All collections with their models and rarity are on the NFT gifts page.
How to send a bear
- Open the person's profile and tap ⋮ / ⋯ → Send a Gift.
- Pick the bear and add a message if you like.
- Pay with Stars from your balance.
The full steps are in how to send a gift on Telegram. Stars for the gift can be bought in the Shiba Bank bot — for your own account or for a friend by @username — while the bear itself is bought inside Telegram.
When the next bear comes out
Telegram does not publish a calendar of gift releases: a new gift simply appears in the shop. Holiday bears have come out around holidays, but not around all of them and never with a warning. How gifts reach the shop and the auctions is in new gifts on Telegram.
