How much is a Telegram NFT gift worth
How much a Telegram NFT gift costs: why there is no fixed price, what the Value field shows, where to compare prices on Telegram's marketplace and Fragment, and how to avoid gift-appraisal bots that steal.
A Telegram NFT gift has no fixed price: the seller sets it, in Stars or in GRAM. You can judge what a gift is worth from three things: the Value field in the gift's card (an approximate resale price shown by Telegram itself), the lowest asking prices for gifts of the same collection, and the prices such gifts have actually sold for. You don't need an appraisal bot for this, and you never need to hand over the gift.
Who sets the price
- The seller. They open their gift, tap "Sell" and set the price themselves. Telegram keeps its fee from the seller: the buyer pays the listed price and the seller receives less, and the app shows the exact amount before the gift is listed. How to sell is in how to sell an NFT gift.
- The buyer. If a gift isn't for sale or the price doesn't suit you, you can make an offer: where offers are available, the gift's menu (⋯ or ⋮) has "Offer to Buy". You name a price in Stars or GRAM and a time limit, and the payment is reserved for that time. If the owner declines or the offer expires, the money is refunded at once; if the owner accepts, the gift is transferred to you automatically. The owner also sees how close your offer is to the gift's estimated value.
What the Value of a gift is
In the card of a unique gift, among its attributes, there is a Value field. It shows the gift's approximate resale price. Open its details and Telegram shows more statistics, such as the average sale price of other gifts in the same collection.
This is an estimate, not a promise: nobody has to buy the gift at that price, and a seller can set any other price.
How to find the price of a gift, step by step
- Open the gift: My Profile → Gifts, or its link. Note the Value and the name of the collection.
- Find the collection on Telegram's marketplace and sort the gifts by price. The lowest price in the collection is its floor, as the market calls it.
- Filter by the same model, backdrop and symbol as your gift and see what similar ones are listed for. What the traits are and what their rarity means is in the model, backdrop and symbol of an NFT gift.
- Look at the gift's number: the gifts of a collection can be sorted by number too.
- Compare listings with real deals. A listing is what a seller hopes for; sold gifts show the market's price. On Fragment there is a Sold status, and the page of a sold gift shows the sale price.
Where to look at prices
- Telegram's marketplace. Gifts are sold for Stars or GRAM right in the app. How to open it is in how to buy an NFT gift.
- Fragment. On fragment.com/gifts gifts that have been moved to the blockchain are sold. It has the statuses For sale, On auction and Sold, and the list can be sorted by price. Prices there are in GRAM; the GRAM rate helps convert them to dollars.
- TON NFT marketplaces, for example Getgems. Marketplaces are compared in where NFT gifts are bought and sold.
Gift appraisal bots
You don't need a separate bot to appraise a gift: Telegram already shows its estimate in the card. Be careful with a bot or a site that offers to "appraise your gift" and asks you to sign in with Telegram, to type in a code from a message, to tell it a password or to transfer the gift "for appraisal". Telegram's own FAQ warns against giving anyone your passwords or Telegram codes, even if they ask nicely. Appraising never requires transferring a gift. The safe official deals are the marketplace and offers inside Telegram, where Telegram holds the payment and transfers the gift. More about how these tricks work is in how not to fall for scammers on Telegram.
Buying a gift or selling it
Buying on Telegram's marketplace is paid for with Stars or GRAM. You can buy Stars in the Shiba Bank bot, for your own account or straight for a friend.
If you sold a gift for Stars, you can turn them into money: the Shiba Bank bot buys Stars from a Telegram account or from the bot's wallet for USDT and shows the rate before the sale.
Frequently asked questions
How much is an NFT gift on Telegram?
There is no fixed price: the seller sets it. Look at the Value field in the card, the lowest prices for gifts of the same collection and the prices of completed sales.
What is the value of a Telegram gift?
It is a field in the card of a unique gift with its approximate resale price. In its details Telegram shows, for example, the average sale price of other gifts in the same collection. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed deal.
How do I check the price of an NFT gift?
Open the gift and read its Value, then compare prices of the same kind of gift on Telegram's marketplace and on Fragment, and see what they have already sold for.
Is there a bot that appraises gifts?
Telegram shows the estimate itself, so no separate bot is needed. If a bot asks you to sign in with Telegram, enter a code or hand over a gift "for appraisal", it is a scam.
Is a gift priced in Stars or in GRAM?
On Telegram's marketplace the seller picks Stars or GRAM; on Fragment prices are in GRAM. To compare, convert everything into one currency.
Why do identical gifts cost different amounts?
Every seller names their own price. Gifts of one collection differ by model, backdrop, symbol and number, and buyers value them differently.
