Tonkeeper, now Keeper: how to use the TON wallet
What Tonkeeper is — since September 2026 the app is called Keeper: how to download it, create a wallet, find your address, top up, withdraw to a card and what Battery does.
Tonkeeper is a wallet app for the TON network: only you hold the keys, and a recovery phrase restores access. In September 2026 it was renamed Keeper and added other networks; the wallet, keys and phrase of existing users stayed the same. People use it to hold GRAM (formerly TON) and USDT, pay on Fragment and in the Shiba Bank bot, and keep Telegram's NFT gifts.
Tonkeeper is now Keeper: what changed
- The name. The App Store lists the app as "Keeper: Crypto Wallet", and tonkeeper.com redirects to keeperwallet.com.
- The same wallet. The App Store update notes say the wallet, keys and recovery phrase are unchanged. Besides TON, Keeper supports TRON, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Base.
- Old TON wallets keep working. For the new networks you create a multichain wallet and can move assets with the optional "Migration" in Settings.
Migration happens only inside the app. The Keeper team says it never writes first or asks for a recovery phrase; sites and bots that urge you to "move to Keeper" are scams.
How to download Tonkeeper
Download the app only from the links on keeperwallet.com/download: the App Store, Google Play, a desktop app, the web wallet and a Chrome extension. In the App Store the publisher is TON APPS UK LTD. No sign-up or ID check is needed. Help: keeperwallet.helpscoutdocs.com.
How to create a wallet and keep the recovery phrase
- Open the app and create a new wallet.
- Set a PIN code — it confirms transfers and other important actions.
- Write the recovery phrase on paper, in order, then name the wallet and finish.
The phrase is 12 or 24 words (24 for earlier TON wallets). It is the only way back in if the app is deleted or the phone is lost: Keeper does not store it and cannot recover it.
Never share the phrase — not with support, a bot or an "admin" — and don't keep it in a screenshot or the cloud.
Tonkeeper address: where to find it
Open GRAM or USDT and tap Receive, or go through Add Funds → Receive Tokens: the app shows your address to copy. A TON address is 48 characters and starts with UQ or EQ: two spellings of one address. Other networks have other addresses, so for GRAM and USDT on TON copy the TON one.
You paste it, for example, on the bot's "Payout wallet" screen when you sell Stars for USDT; both spellings work.
How to top up Tonkeeper
- From an exchange or another wallet. Copy your TON address, paste it when you withdraw, and pick the same network and coin. You can withdraw from an exchange, @CryptoBot ("Wallet" → "Withdraw") or Walt (@walt, formerly Wallet in Telegram). No memo is needed.
- By card. "Add Funds" → Apple Pay or Google Pay, or open a token and choose "Cash buy". Providers: Mercuryo and MoonPay, and AvanChange for Russia (MIR cards). Not available everywhere; a provider may ask for identity verification.
Network and token must match on both sides: USDT exists on several networks, and the bot needs USDT on TON. Keep a little GRAM for the fee, or charge Battery.
Tonkeeper Battery
The TON network fee is paid in GRAM. Battery is a back-up: charged in advance, it pays the fee with charges when you have no GRAM.
- It covers token transfers such as USDT, NFT transfers and swaps — not sending GRAM itself.
- You charge it in the App Store or Google Play, or with crypto (GRAM, USDT and some other tokens): Settings → Battery.
- Migrating to a multichain wallet does not carry charges over.
On W5 wallets (the standard of new wallets) a token transfer's fee can also be paid in the token itself, such as USDT; the token list is limited.
How to withdraw from Tonkeeper to a card or an exchange
- To an exchange or another wallet. Send → network and token → recipient address → memo, if asked → amount → confirm. The address must match the chosen network, or the money can be lost. Exchanges often need a memo; if it is missing or wrong, the transfer can't be cancelled — ask the exchange's support.
- To a card. Open the token, choose "Cash sell", enter the amount and finish on the provider's site: Mercuryo, MoonPay, or AvanChange for Russia. Availability depends on your region; a provider may ask for identity verification.

What Tonkeeper is for
- Fragment. fragment.com works with a TON wallet: it recommends Tonkeeper and MyTonWallet and connects one with the "Connect TON" button. Stars, Premium, usernames and numbers are bought there — what Fragment is.
- The bot. After you choose the amount and recipient, tap "🪙 Crypto" → "👛 Tonkeeper etc." → "🪙 GRAM" or "💲 USDT (TON network)", then "👛 Pay automatically".
