How to withdraw USDT to a card
How to withdraw USDT on the TON network to a bank card: why you can't send it straight from Walt (formerly Wallet in Telegram) or Tonkeeper, how P2P works, what to check before a deal and the right network.
USDT is a digital dollar. You can't send it straight to a bank card — not from Walt (the service formerly called Wallet in Telegram) and not from Tonkeeper: there is always a go-between from crypto to a card — a P2P trade, an exchange or an exchange service. Below is how it works and what to keep in mind if you got USDT, for example for Stars you sold.
Why you can't withdraw USDT straight to a card
A crypto wallet holds coins on a blockchain, and a card holds money in a bank. To get money on your card, you need to sell the USDT to someone who pays you by bank transfer. P2P marketplaces, exchanges and exchange services do exactly that.
From Walt (formerly Wallet in Telegram)
Walt, found as @walt, has a P2P market — trading between users. By Walt's help, you sell like this:
- In Walt's main menu tap "Withdraw", then "P2P Market" → "Sell".
- Pick a buyer's ad and tap "Sell". Enter the amount of USDT and your payment details, tap "Check order", then "Confirm".
- Wait for the buyer to accept the order. The buyer has a set time to send the money to your payment details.
- Check that the sender's name on your bank receipt matches the buyer's name. Once the money has arrived, tap "Confirm Receipt of Funds" — then the USDT goes to the buyer automatically.
The payment method must be registered in your own name, and Walt asks you to verify your identity (KYC) before you trade. What is available in your country is on walt.io and in Walt's help: selling crypto on the P2P market.
From Tonkeeper and other TON wallets
Tonkeeper has no P2P of its own. The usual route is to move the USDT to where it can be sold:
- to Walt — and sell it through P2P as above;
- to a crypto exchange with P2P — and sell it there.
When sending, choose USDT on the TON network and check that the recipient accepts exactly that network. USDT on other networks — TRC-20, ERC-20 — lives at other addresses; coins sent to the wrong network can be lost.
The TON network fee is paid in GRAM: keep a little GRAM in your wallet, or a USDT transfer won't go through.
What to check before a deal
- Confirm a deal only when the money is already on your card — check it in your banking app, not by a screenshot.
- Don't move the deal into private messages and don't agree to "I'll pay to another card": P2P protection works only inside the deal.
- Never share your wallet's recovery phrase or your Telegram login code.
- Count the fees: the TON network's, the exchange's and the P2P rate.
Where to get USDT
The Shiba Bank bot pays USDT on the TON network for Stars you sell: sell Stars from your Telegram account or from the bot's wallet and receive USDT in your TON wallet. The bot shows the rate before the sale — more in how to sell Telegram Stars.
FAQ
Can I withdraw USDT from Walt (Telegram Wallet) straight to a card?
Not directly. Sell the USDT through P2P in Walt itself: the buyer sends money to your payment details, and the USDT goes to them once you confirm that it arrived.
How do I withdraw money from Tonkeeper to a card?
Send USDT on the TON network to Walt or to an exchange with P2P and sell it there. Tonkeeper itself doesn't pay out to cards.
Why won't my USDT transfer from Tonkeeper go through?
Most likely there's no GRAM in the wallet for the network fee. Top up the wallet with a little GRAM and try again.
What happens if I send USDT to the wrong network?
The coins can be lost: USDT on TON and on other networks use different addresses. Before sending, check that the recipient accepts USDT on the TON network.
